Og Mandino once said, “Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in GIVING. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug.”
What are you giving to your students and/or parents? Make sure that you reach out, smile, and hug each and every day.
My Fellow Colleagues,
With the start of a new school year quickly approaching, join me this week to take some time and be good to yourself.
Think about splurging on something for yourself, like that long overdue spa treatment or a day the beach. How will you take care of yourself this week?
Dalai Lama XIV once said’ “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
This particular quote has really resonated with me all week. In addition to being a teacher, we are expected to play many different roles on any given day. While this may not always be easy, it certainly is rewarding.
What have you done recently to make a child happy? What have you done recently to show compassion for a student and/or family?
