Failure

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Our greatest glory is in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.”

Think about how you and/or your students feel when they fail. What opportunities do you provide for your students to “rise up?”

Food for Thought:

  • Re-Teach weak skills and/or standards based on data
  • Allow students to retake assessments after reteaching
  • Use spiral reviews as an additional way to check for understanding
